Growing Food in the City

As part of an experiment into small-scale food production in cities, a recirculating aquaponic system was built in a windowless room of a Toronto high-school, Don Mills Collegiate Institute.

The initial design of the system was used to secure funding for development of the project, in cooperation with Daniel Kunanec, leader of the Green Industries program at Don Mills Collegiate Institute, and the Toronto District School Board.
